Rafael Alonso Ponce

He holds a PhD in Forestry Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and is part of the research team of the Department of Research and Forestry Experiences of Valonsadero (Junta de Castilla y León).

His research work focuses on ecological niche and species distribution models, as well as on the relationships between environmental variables and station quality, on which he has published several works in national and international journals.

Es Doctor Ingeniero de Montes por la Universidad Politécnica de Madrid y forma parte del equipo investigador del Departamento de Investigación y Experiencias Forestales de Valonsadero (Junta de Castilla y León).

Su labor investigadora se centra en los modelos de nicho ecológico y de distribución de especies, así como en las relaciones entre variables del medio y la calidad de estación, sobre los cuales ha publicado diversos trabajos en revistas nacionales e internacionales.
