Forestry Engineer and Specialist Technician in Prediction and Evaluation of Environmental Impacts by the UPM. He currently holds the position of Laboratory Technician of the Teaching Unit of Ecology and is studying for a doctorate.
He began his research work between 2000 and 2003 within the SISPARES project on the analysis of changes in the landscape of Spain. Within the same line he collaborated in the European project of the FP5 BioHab. Later he worked in the application of landscape ecology to forest management, in the ECOPORF project. He continues to develop both lines, collaborating in the FP7 Ebone project, as well as in the updating of SISPARES in the framework of the DECOFOR project on landscape connectivity and forest planning. In addition, his current interests include the understanding of the relationships of large fires, with the pattern of the landscape and its application in the planning of forest areas.
