He holds a PhD in Forestry Engineering from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, and is currently a Professor at the University, attached to the Department of Systems and Natural Resources.
His research activity is included in the scientific-technical fields of Soil Science, Climatology, Ecology and Forestry, with special attention to the characterisation of natural soils and territorial modelling, both for the ecological-based evaluation of systems and natural resources, and for the monitoring of the dynamics of forest landscapes.
